No Power.
Had to return first router, would not power on. When the replacment arrived found out why the first had no power, the power supply was defective. Replancement router working great!

Fantastic WIFI 6 Router
Install was easy, and we cannot believe the speeds we are seeing for upload and download speeds. No slow zones in our house, no lagging, and no reduced picture quality anymore when it was peak hours. I was able to go from wired online gaming to wireless and hardly saw any drop in speeds with the 5G WiFi. Very impressed.

DO NOT BUY!!
The speeds and range are good, but after 90 days my internet began disconnecting. At first I thought it was my internet service, since I had just bought a new router. After speaking to my internet provider, they assured me everything was good on their end. I ended calling customer support for Neatgear and they let me know that since 90 days have already passed, that any service that they provide, I have to pay for a service subscription!! What the heck!! No router should stop working after 90 days!! Now I am going to end up renting a router from my internet provider. Not worth paying so much money for something that won’t make it to the first year!!

Good product but unstable 5Ghz connection
It was replacing my netgear mesh system that got fried due to PowerSurge. It has excellent strength and coverage. Setup was just like any netgear router. I was not able to update the firmware right off the app/router. I was however able to manually upgrade the firmware to the latest version by downloading the file from their website.I have a gigabit ethernet, personal cloud and media systems, a NAS, ring cameras, security system and a couple of IOT devices and sensors. Understandably the wired connection gives the maximum speeds and stability. The 2.4Ghz is stable and gives excellent throughput.I have always recommended Netgear hardware but on the latest devices especially X3000+ models I am seeing issues on the 5Ghz channels. They are highly unreliable and keep dropping the connection. Few times it is connected but shows no internet (the wired and 2.4Ghz would be functioning normal). I tried all the options and combinations to no avail. It’s frustrating when connection drops and when it comes back after 1 or 2mins, I will have to reauthenticate my work laptop which is annoying when working on something important. I am eyeing the TP link mesh network they have been improving their hardware and software offerings and good options out there.

Great router.
I went from an older Netgear router to this. My speeds and range greatly increased. It was definitely worth the money.

Customer Support is one of the strong points
Netgear provides good customer support when you’re trying to troubleshoot problems. Just make sure you’ve got Netgear and not some pop-up that is pretending to be Netgear.
