Longevity Sometimes a Miss
Ease of setup and the app are 5 stars. The switch itself is well priced. It is, at the end of the day, a consumable that does wear out. Some less than a year, others going strong 2 years in. Just expect you’ll need to have a couple of spares on-hand. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4 for longevity

Fantastic smart plugs
These are by far my favorite smart plugs out of all that I’ve tried, and I’ve used a lot of brands over the years. I love them so much that I recently replaced all of the smart plugs in my house with these EIGHTREE plugs.A couple of things that I love about them:1. They pair seamlessly with the SmartLife app, which is linked to my Google Home.2. They have so many different options for schedules. You can create your own schedule or choose from one of the many pre-set options (picture attached). They also have a “random” function that is great for if you won’t be home for a while.Overall, these are excellent smart plugs that I highly recommend.

Best Wi-Fi plugs I’ve ever used and the set up was extremely easy!
I currently have 10 Wi-Fi plugs in my home, all different brands, when I went back to order that last brand I purchased they were no longer available? (now I know why! and btw they all wear a pain to initially set up, click this then click that, search for this then search for that etc…I wanted to purchase additional Wi-Fi plugs, I read that “Matter” type Wi-Fi plugs were better and easier to connect so I gave them a try, WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE! they were absolutely horrible, they would either connect to the Alexa app OR the Smart Life app but not both simultaneously, at least not immediately, In order for them appear in the Smart Life after they were connected to the Alexa app I had to share a special code generated by the Alexa app then go back to the Smart Life app and add that code, WHAT A PAIN IN THE A$$.Needless to say, but I will, I returned those and purchased these EIGHTREE Wi-Fi plugs, I’m so glad i did!. These were the easiest and most simplest Wi-Fi plugs I have ever set up! actually there was no setup, I just plugged one in to a wall outlet and the Smart Life app recognize it immediately and so did the Alexa app, honestly, like magic, I couldn’t believe it how easy it was!I couldn’t be happier. These are my go to Wi-Fi plugs from now on, they should be yours too! Trust me you won’t be disappointed! Thank you EIGHTREE! Effortless set up
The plugs are extremely easy to set up. and are a great value, so much so we’ve sent them to family members. They also love them, especially at Christmastime, for decorations. It’s so nice to be able to set them to come on at sunset and schedule them when we want them off!

Work great ! Easy set up if you have the Smart Life app. We use for all the different interior Christmas lights/decorations, easy to rename so you know what’s what. I can set these up so they are ready to work in under 30 seconds, easily hooks up to Alexa

When they work, they work great.Unfortunately, a recommended device update bricked one of my plugs and support is essentially non-existent.Edit: Have to say, Eightree contacted me directly, and sent a new pair of plugs. Not bad at all.

I have been slowly automating a few things around the house and needed a couple of smart plugs that didn’t require me to buy a separate, expensive smart hub. I picked up this Eightree 2-pack, and they have been a fantastic, budget-friendly solution so far.Here is my breakdown after getting them set up:High Power Capacity: This is the biggest selling point for me. A lot of budget smart plugs max out at 10 Amps. As I showed in the picture of the back of the plug, these are rated for a full 15A and up to 1800W. This means you can comfortably use them for higher-draw items (like a space heater or a heavy-duty fan) without worrying about overloading the plug.Nice Form Factor: The plug itself is relatively compact. I took a picture of it in my palm so you can get a true sense of the scale. It feels well-built, and the packaging it came in was surprisingly sturdy and professional.Simple, Hub-Free Setup: The included manual is very clear and visual. Because it connects straight to your Wi-Fi, you bypass the need for a bridge. Getting it linked up to my network and synced with my voice assistant took less than five minutes.A Quick Thing to Keep in Mind:Like almost all smart home devices, this only connects to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. If you have a newer router that auto-combines your 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands into a single network name, you might have to temporarily disable the 5GHz band just to get the plug initially connected. Also, because of its horizontal rectangular shape, it can slightly crowd the second outlet on your wall if you are trying to plug in something with a very bulky power brick.Bottom Line:If you want an affordable, high-capacity smart plug to easily integrate with Alexa, Google Home, or SmartThings, this 2-pack is an excellent value. Just make sure you know how to access your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band before you start!
