Perfect desk for working from home! Great quality, and great price! Sturdy, and well made!
Hands down the best desk for the price!The boxed came with holes in it, so I thought forsure there would be damaged pieces, but I was pleasantly surprised! I will break it down in stages!1) Arrival- The desk comes in 2 boxes. A large square box and an event larger rectangular box. Before you bring them inside- get a game plan on where you want them- preferably in the room which you will build and use the desk. These boxes are HEAVY! I decided to bring the boxes inside solo, and will tell you- it is better to just wait for a second person! My boxes came torn up, but thankfully my pieces weren’t damaged!2) The pieces- I opened each box and played out each piece- they are each nicely numbered with a white round sticker with black lettering- I loved being able to organize and stand the pieces so easily! I wouldnt skip this step- yes it took about an hour doing it alone, but I was also looking at each piece to ensure there was no damage and none were missing- I will say I was very pleased with the quality of the pieces even before it was put together!3) Putting the desk together- mind you I did this a lone with a 1 year old and a 5 year old- I started at 4:30pm took 1 legit 20 min break and finished at 12:15am. That included sorting and looking at all the pieces. If you dont have children who want to be involved in the build process you can probably do the unpacking and building in 4 hours! You are legit building each piece. From the shelves to the drawers- the directions are clear- but I did manage to mess up the direction of the drawer slides a couple of times. Once I realized my uh oh it wasn’t a hard fix- just took my time. That was a not able to give my 100% to detail error- not the directions fault. I will say- one thing I really appreciated and was shocked was in the bag were pads for the feet of the desk. Not only included but also worked into the directions to have them put on during an easy step!4) Finished product- this desk is gorgeous! It is HEAVY and sturdy!! I am able to fit my laptop, 2 monitors, my phone holder, a keyboard, mouse, notebook, and have plenty of spare room! The desk itself is very functional! I honestly believe you couldn’t find a better desk, looks and proce wise! I use a coaster for my drinks- so I can’t speak to that, but I have been using this desk now for a month and have had zero complaints or issues! The quality is there, and the color matches the description and photos!

Although the assembly was quite tedious, the finished product is worth the struggle. The packaging was excellent, and the parts were all numerically labeled, making it easy to correlate the parts inventory to the instructions. The construction and assembly logic is nearly identical to our favorite Swedish furniture. The assembly instructions and logic are flawless. Although the quality of the individual parts was generally very good, my kit did contain a couple of pieces that had irregularities that had been spot repaired using some sort of putty. These repairs were in places that did not show in the final construction, nor did they effect the strength of the finished desk. There was also a small chip in the far right corner of the desk top.The last noteworthy criticism is that two of the hardware anchor holes failed during assembly, requiring me to repair them. This is because the desk components are made of particle board / composite material, which can occasionally have voids that create internal weaknesses that will not support the ‘pull’ of the connecting hardware. This was easily repaired. It is important to note that, prior to making the repairs, I attempted to access the Customer Service contact that was provided in the package. After several back-and-forth e-mail communications to off-shore reps (which occurred over the course of several days), I gave up on getting replacement parts and just repaired the existing broken parts with epoxy. My repairs were stronger than the original material.Many of the joints used wood dowels as locator pins. In these, and in all the slot joints, I used wood glue to increase the joint strength.I have assembled many ‘kit furniture’ products, most being the Swedish variety. This desk, like those products, requires patience and the ability to read and comprehend graphic instructions to assemble, and may be too complex for some buyers.In the end, the result is a very nice desk at an excellent price point.

Very nice desk
This is a good quality desk given the price and that it’s assembly required. It feels solid and durable, drawers slide nicely and the door closes squarely with the frame. Assembly took a few hours, but given the 5 drawers the amount of time was not unreasonable. One sign of quality/engineering I noted during assembly is that when I put the desk top on to the base, it dropped right into place with almost no coaxing/pushing/adjusting.

DO NOT BUY
If I could give zero stars I would. Do not buy this desk. One of the bottom of the drawers was missing. Amazon was unable to replace the drawer. We agree to contact Garvee directly to avoid having to put anotherk entire desk together which took many, many hours already. I’ve spoken with Garvee three times already in the last 3 weeks and cannot get an email to even confirm they have the part. Same story each representative, someone will contact you within 24-48 hours and then nothing… 🙁

Am never gonna regret buying this desk
This is just a beautiful desk I wouldn’t say it was easy to assemble by myself but the manual is very clear and easy to follow. Overall, this product is a 10 and worth every dollar.
